Current Opportunities
Professional Membership Group & Events Manager
Position: a part-time role working on average 2-3 days per week, with flexibility around events
Location: Nottingham or London (with an average 1 day per week in our office and travel to events as required)
What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced and passionate individual with prior experience in professional membership group and event management, ideally across both the public and private sectors, to lead our Consultancy Procurement Council (CPC).
Some understanding of the consultancy market would be helpful, but we are not looking for a consultancy market expert (we have that expertise). You’ll be supported by a dedicated Membership Manager and Marketing Manager.
Whilst already the leading global group focused on consultancy procurement, the CPC has huge global growth potential, especially in running international events. All the resources to deliver this are primed – we now need someone to own driving this, not just on an “event by event” basis, but delivering the full growth strategy.
What The CPC Is
The CPC is an exclusive peer learning group for senior procurement professionals to meet and share best practices regarding how to buy consultancy services better.
You’ll be responsible for bringing together and growing a network of procurement professionals from over 100 global blue-chip companies and organisations across the private and public sectors and coordinating a calendar of events (roundtables, masterclasses and summits) and benchmarking.
We recently held our 2023 London Summit, which was attended by over 140 blue chip procurement professionals (from companies such as Lloyds, Shell, GSK etc); next year we would like the event to be twice this size.
Our members love the CPC and what it does for them – we need help to do more!
Key Responsibilities:
· Overseeing all aspects of membership management (inc. marketing, subscription processes, renewals).
· Agreeing on a growing calendar of events and managing end-2-end delivery (there is no separate resource to do this).
· Acting as a key point of contact for CPC Members, understanding their needs and facilitating the provision of CPC resources
· Cultivating personal relationships with Members embodying the professional and trusted face of the CPC.
· Attracting sponsorship for events, maximising revenues
Essential Experience/Abilities
· Previous experience within blue chip membership and events management
· Appetite to own and drive the growth of the CPC as a personal project
· Fantastic organisational capabilities
· Appetite to manage all aspects of the CPC – from the strategic to the tactical tasks
· Exceptional communication skills and ability to build strong relationships
Please send an updated CV to careers@constellia.com to discuss this further.
